Kun Sun is a life-long resident of Waverly. He decided to join the Board to help improve the community. During his free time, he volunteers at various pop-culture conventions, uses Facebook to chat friends, and plays video games. Kun Sun was previously elected as Corresponding Secretary for the past couple of years. As of the 2018-2019 term, he was elected as Co-President of the Waverly Improvement Association. This is his very first time being a Co-President for a nonprofit organization.

Mona Addison

Vice-President

Mona Addison was born and raised in Baltimore City, and has lived in Waverly since 1980. Retired from Domino Sugars , Mona has worked as an assistant to a city council member, and now works for the Baltimore City Schools. Currently Vice President of the Board of the Waverly Improvement Association, she has served on the Board for over 15 years. Mona attends Faith Baptist Church, serves as chair of the Family Life Ministry, a member of a nurse unit and is a missionary. A mother of three, grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 2, she enjoys traveling and gardening. As Vice President of WIA, her goal is to bring better city services to our area and recognize neighbors who strive to keep our community clean and safe.

Jessica Borowski

Recording Secretary

Born and raised in the counties, Jessica moved to Baltimore City in 2008 to complete her bachelor's degree at the University of Baltimore. She moved to Waverly in 2015 and prefers to enjoy Charm City on her bicycle. As an Operations Manager in Human Resources for Johns Hopkins University, Hospital and Health System, Jessica is passionate about mentoring administrative assistants, cultivating community engagement, and promoting a healthy work life balance. She currently studies for a certificate in Health Communications at the JH School of Public Health. Jess loves to exercise at home, experiment with healthy cooking, and create reuse-refuse crafts. She is excited to contribute to the WIA's mission to keep Waverly beautiful, diverse, safe, and family-supportive.

Natalya Brusilovsky

Chairperson/General Board Member

Natalya was born in Kiev, Ukraine and grew up in Randallstown. She left at age 17 to attend University of Iowa, and since then has lived in Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA and back to Baltimore twice before moving back for good to the Waverly neighborhood in January 2009. Natalya has been a community organizer, festival producer, theatre producer, director and theatre educator, senior community center programs director, as well as cafe manager and caterer, and is now also currently a real estate agent.

Kari Nye

General Board Member

Kari Nye is (primarily) a writer from California who has lived in Waverly for the past five years; she’s proud to call Baltimore home. Prior to her current position with the State’s Department of Human Services, Kari was a floral designer in Better Waverly, a farmer in Maine, and a speechwriter in DC. She’s thrilled to join the WIA, where she hopes to use her communications background and breadth of experience in service of the Board’s public engagement goals. Kari is also a certified Baltimore City Master Gardener—ask her how to keep your tomatoes alive!

Nat Mysenberg

General Board Member

Nat Meysenburg first moved to Waverly with his family as a teenager (and City College student) in the late 90s. After spending several years living out of state, Nat decided to move back to Waverly. By day, Nat is a Technologist with the Open Technology Institute, part of a DC based think tank that works to ensure that every community has equitable access to communications technologies that are both open and secure. Nat wants to see a Waverly that continues its long tradition of being one of the most economically and racially diverse neighborhoods in Baltimore.
